Not as easy to use as Red Light Keeper (for incandescent bulbs) but following the instructions carefully will revive most of your broken LED strings. I had 7 or 8 strings that didn't work at all, or only half the lights worked (you know what I mean). First try after try, I just couldn't get it to work, so back to the guide - - and WOW! There's a hint: keep your hands away from the part of the cord you're testing, as your hands can provide enough conductivity to produce faint intermittent beeps, and you simply won't be able to find a bad bulb . Of course, you want to be holding the string in exactly the wrong place, leaving you very frustrated with inconsistent, intermittent, weak signals. When I finally learned to keep my hands at least 6 inches from the test site, everything suddenly worked perfectly. I had one string where I just couldn't find the fault. I suspect a few defective bulbs or a broken wire. But everyone else is working now. If the problem isn't a bad lightbulb but a bad outlet, you can cut out the faulty outlet and get some "pods" to run wires across the gap. SECRET: Two capsules don't last long. They'll happily sell you more for about $2 a pack. Forget it. Use cheap nuts. The ones I had were too big to screw on so I stuck a piece of toothpick into the hole in the nut and she just tightened it up.
