I use this for a 2TB Samsung SSD mainly for media server storage. To be honest I think USB-C is the way to go as it doesn't slow down the SSD much. I wish it was easier to install an SSD - it's a bit of a blind guess to align the docking. Connector with drive, since the drive has to be pushed through the open front. It took me about ten minutes to fix it. So the design is a bit different. Another point is that the design requires you to reverse the opening from the front, and it's not entirely intuitive how the hinge works. I noticed that there is a lockout switch on the back of the case that prevents this door from opening and when I took this case out of the box this switch was in the LOCKED position. So check the latch switch, then place your thumbnail in the middle of the front edge of the door and the top of the case and pull down firmly. It will be firm but not break. Just pull. In terms of performance, it doesn't slow down my SSD. So I'm very happy with them. Again, I highly recommend moving to USB-C if your system supports it, as the difference in speed is noticeable. good body
