Review on ๐Ÿ๏ธ LS2 Valiant II Modular Helmet by Antoine Dean

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect mid range modular helmet

I like everything about this cap except that it is VERY loud on my BMW R1200GS unless I hide it behind a screen. I'm probably dealing with turbulence, hence YMMV. I wear hearing protection 95% of the time anyway, but even a quick spin can be a bit noisy if you miss it, especially at speeds over 40mph. It's also pretty heavy, but that's due to modular territory. Coming from a pair of Schuberth helmets, the noise trade-off of being able to use it as a 3/4 helmet without looking (too much) like a mutant if needed or desired is a good one. It's worth it. Several people rated this feature positively when they saw it. I like the fold-down sun visor, but I feel like it reduces visual acuity a bit when it's in place. I wear glasses, so there's a third layer of plastic. But better than sun blindness. I dread what adding a pinlock layer will do. Anyway I've invested in an Iridium visor which is great especially on sunny days and sometimes I just use sunglasses and a clear visor. ) for my passenger.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
