Sand them down if needed
The only complaint is that some of them weren't smooth. I would suggest testing each one and sanding and deburring the edges because you don't want your project to have a sanded line or splinter because the end wasn't entirely smooth. These sticks will not break unless you try to break them. After all, they are made of wood.
