Only 1 bat in my review

I am disappointed that the image was showing 2 bats and I only received 1. I would have spent a couple more dollars for the set of 2.

  • You will not be disappointed with this bat. Works just as it should.

  • The bat wobbles on the wheel, creating inconsistencies in the results

Flat, round, fits 14 " wheel

Sturdy, easy to clean, reinforced underside on a perfectly flat bat. Unlike the bats that are double sided, this bat is unlikely to warp unless stored carelessly. Holes for a 14" wheel and a smaller one. Wipe down after throwing a piece, and it is ready for the next ball of clay.

Good product - my new review

Bought for pottery class, does what is expected of it. I bought 3 of these and have bought a couple friends some as well The bat is not properly balanced, making it hard to use.

They store very nicely (when not in use) and allow many more pieces .

These Speedball bats are the bomb! They store very nicely (when not in use) and allow many more pieces to fit on a drying self. I personally prefer the green colored version, but these chocolate colored ones work just as well. Recommend!

Get several bats on my review.

It's so nice to have several of these on hand so you don't have to remove a piece that's not ready to be taken off. It doesn't detract from the product, but lining these up isn't always the easiest to do. You have to feel for the small nubs along the edge and align it correctly on the wheel, and sometimes that's a bit tricky. This larger one seems a bit more well made than the 12" one as well.

Speedball bats are good in my experience but mine cracked and I'm not sure how

I have had this for a couple months and haven't used it on the actual wheel. I built a couple of mugs from slab and left them on this to dry a couple of different times. One day i suddenly noticed it had a big crack toward the edge and I'm not sure how it happened. I feel like if i bumped it into something i would have noticed 🤔 but I guess that must have been what happened? It wasn't like that when it arrived.

The applied sticker is way to big

The sticker on these bats is like 8 inches long and very sticky. It took me awhile to get them off. The bat itself is good. The other color bats have a small circle sticker in the middle and it come off easy. I won't buy it again just because of the hassle.

Surface plastic too thin.

The 12” lacks sturdiness. I read lots of reviews of various bats with pin holes underneath (so I can throw plates all the way to edge) and chose this because many people said it was robust and didn’t warp. I used it the first time with a 3-lb ball of clay and could feel all the ridges underneath that are meant to provide support. The plastic was too thin so it dipped slightly between the supportive ridges underneath, making for an awful centering experience. The bat wasn’t warped and the bat…

Intact but packaging wasnt sufficient

It came in good condition but the packaging was just a lightly padded envelope so it could have easily been broken in transit.

Excellent value good for me

These snap tightly onto the wheel pins. No need to use clay around the pins to keep the bat from wobbling. Thanks for attention.
