Epoxy impossible to use

The set was cute. I liked that it came with pottery pieces, 2 paintbrushes and sticks. However, the epoxy was virtually impossible to discharge (i even leaned with my weight onto it with the tips facing up) and only one side worked. Given that epoxy is pretty important in this project it’s going back. I’m pretty bummed because I was excited about this kit. If they just improved the epoxy then it would be a perfect kit.

Pros
  • Great way to repair broken porcelain!
Cons
  • The repair kit may not be suitable for certain types of pottery, limiting its practicality

Works beautifully: my feedback

Y'all I break stuff on the reg. It's just a thing that happens and I've come to terms with it. Thankfully this makes it look like I bought it that way. Eventually people will catch on like "hey, all your stuff is gold, is there like a Midas themed ceramic thing you have going on or a gold crack fetish or what.?" But until then I'm here to say it's easy to do, very pretty, and I didn't get the defective epoxy the other lady got so I'm counting myself lucky this time. Usually I get the messed up…

Pros
  • 12.3 ounces
Cons
  • Using the Kintsugi technique may be seen as a form of cultural appropriation by some communities, as it has significant cultural significance in Japanese culture

Great Way to Learn Kintsugi, Pretty

I think it is safe to say everyone at one point or another will end up breaking a piece of ceramic or pottery that might be disappointing. I've done it multiple times. It is nice knowing there is a fun way to try to save the carnage and keep it as a special memento. This kit allows you to learn on two small pieces that you don't have to cry if you make a mistake with. It comes with everything needed to break and glue the pieces back together with the golden epoxy accents.I used a small dixie…

Pros
  • Crafting
Cons
  • The Kintsugi repair technique requires a level of skill and patience that not everyone may possess, making the kit potentially frustrating for amateur repairers

Fun activity: my feedback

This was a really fun project and the kit made it really easy to do. The ceramic leaf and heart it came with are so cute! The person I was doing the kit with didn’t want to break the leaf initially because it was too cute. The ceramic heart and leaf are good quality. It took us a couple attempts to break which I think was perfect because the breaks were not too hard to put together. The instructions were easy to follow and this was a great kit. The epoxy does dry really fast so it’s best to mix

Pros
  • Kintsugi Usage
Cons
  • The miniature ceramic bowls included in the kit may be too small for larger pottery pieces

Simple Kinstugi in a complete kit

I've been interested in Kintsugi for a long time, as restoring a broken, beloved piece of pottery or china has always been a need in this house, and having it come out more beautiful obviously makes it even better than it was. This is not the long process kintsugi using lacquer, which needs to be cured. Instead it uses a modern glue, with which you mix the gold coloured powder for the quick, glorious finish; and you don't need to worry about allergies. All the tools needed are included in the…

Perfection! good for me

I've been wanting to try Kintsugi forever so when I finally found a kit with everything needed, I had to jump on it! This makes the art SO easy! Highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • The kit may not include all of the necessary materials for the repair, such as glue or adhesive, which may require customers to purchase additional supplies

Faulty epoxy: my feedback

The epoxy that came with the kit was rock solid, rendering it useless. This is the main component of the kit, so that was a bit frustrating. The rest of the kit was nice, but now I need to go buy some epoxy in order to use it. In the future, I would just save yourself the money and buy the only two ingredients you need- gold dust to mix with epoxy, and epoxy. wah-la, you have the kit.

Pros
  • Ceramic & Pottery Tools
Cons
  • The ceramic bowls included in the kit may not be practical for some customers to use, making them essentially useless

Overall is a good kit but hard to open the glue tube

The pink line pointing to the opening where I struggled to get it opened probably to get the solution out. Other than that I liked the kit comes with two dishes so I used one to examine and one was used as my assignment for a class.

Pros
  • 8.74 x 5.75 x 2.01 inches
Cons
  • The finished product may not look as seamless as a traditional repair or restoration, which may be unsatisfactory for some customers

GLUE WONT COME OUT OF SYRINGE

This seemed like a great kit. Went to repair my broken bowl and the glue would NOT be forced out of the syringe. Just made a terrible mess and ruined further my bowl.

Pros
  • Riomh
Cons
  • The process of repairing pottery with the Kintsugi technique can be time-consuming, which may deter some customers who are looking for a quick and easy fix

More yellowish than gold

I planned to create this for a display and a gift however the yellow-like powder does not have a elegant appearance. Opt for more metallic gold dust options. Also I could not open the glue with scissors or razor. I happen to have another on hand. Also the ceramics they provide are too pretty and strong to break. Also plan on needing more brush heads for more products and do not use the glue dish it is too nice for a one time use. Would be better if the provided cheap plastic trays and brush…

Pros
  • Kintsugi Repair Kit
Cons
  • The Kintsugi technique may not be suitable for pottery that is structurally compromised, as it relies on the strength of the pottery to hold together
