Poor quality control, wrong voltage reference
This TPS reports the wrong voltage reference for the TBI 350 even though it is specified for this engine and is visually identical to the factory unit. Produces a reverse voltage of 4.81-4.89 volts over range, but factory specs call for 0.5-5 volts over range. This results in an extremely high idle and the transmission will not want to upshift (or downshift prematurely) because the ECM is receiving a near full throttle signal all the time.
