Review on πŸ”‹ Power Up with ProCell: Bulk AA Batteries, 24/Box (PC1500) for Long-lasting Performance by Whitney Buckley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Unreliable and misleading

The bottom line is that Procell's Duracell AA batteries are not what they are made for. First, anyone who says they aren't made in China is "faking it". Made in China is written directly on the packaging. That doesn't necessarily mean they have to be bad, but my box of 24 was of poor quality. I'd say at best half of them were decent and the other half lasted very briefly. I'm talking about a week to a month at best for very energy-efficient devices. Some didn't even work. It was hard to believe that a few days to a month ago I just put batteries in this or that device somewhere and changed the batteries. I feel that any purchase of these batteries will depend on the specific production run you are receiving your package from. I think the quality control is very difficult to control and hence the variety of reviews. But don't fall for the professional promos that come with these reviews and Q&A. After that last box of Procells I reordered the old standard Coppertop because they were made for the retail consumer and they can't afford to have too many dissatisfied retail consumers as that is their cash cow. Maybe Procell is good if you use them right away and they don't have time to sit in the closet and lose their performance. I don't know exactly what it is, but it was a pretty bad game. Maybe half were decent, but most lost power between a week and a month, and I kept scratching my head wondering if I'd just put new batteries in this or that device. Maybe you're lucky, maybe not. I think it just depends on the specific production run and I think the quality control is poor. I've just bought a pack of Coppertops because the last pack of these lasted and isn't bad in packaging.
