I've been using Chaco Flips as a daily car for ten years and I love them. I've even made my wife a multiple Chaco owner who has worked wonders for her around the house or when she's on her feet a lot. So my expectations for my first pair of closed-toe chacos were high (although the concept may seem like heresy). I was so afraid of being disappointed. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I wanted a pair of slippers that were as impenetrable as my flip flopsβa pair of winter flip flops, if you will. Something to wear every day. This is compliant. They have classic weight and Chaco quality. They fit so well. I have very wide feet so the forefoot is noticeably narrow but I expected that. The fabric stretches just enough to be comfortable. The protector is very handy. Enough to think of easy walking in them - were it not for the fear of the fabric getting dirty. I've had them for a few days now and was confident enough in their quality to consider them. I'll update if I have reason to regret the five stars, but I don't think it will be necessary.
