NOT a ratchet on my review.

The description says it's a ratchet. It is not.It is a cam.There is a difference, and know nothing is secured well with a cam, only a ratchet.Zero star for false advertising.

Pros

Easy to use, love the Velcro loop to hold the rest of the strap. Great for jet ski tie downs!

Cons

Ratchet straps can be time-consuming and frustrating to use, especially if you're not familiar with the process of tightening and securing them properly

Used these on the back of my boat trailer. The ones that came with them just hooked on and they always came loose. One day thay loosened up and one fell off. These have clips which if they come loose they stay on.
