. I used to use a mirror connector that plugged into the auto-dimming mirror connector on the back of the rearview mirror. This connection weakens as the temperature in the car changes, so it was unreliable. I was lucky enough to crimp this little thing over the + and - wires that feed the rear view mirror and the other connector on the mirror output wire that I cut the copper "outputs" off of. The result is a clean, reliable, and virtually invisible connection to safely connect the power supply to my detector.
