Yes, you can dye in the washing machine without damaging it! I know, I know, I didn't really believe it either. I didn't believe it so much that I was trying to die in my washing machine just because I had an old washing machine I wanted to get rid of. But of course, if you follow the instructions (and I followed the instructions CAREFULLY, let me tell you), you can continue to use your washing machine even after you've added fabric dye and things haven't turned intensely fuchsia. The color of my jeans was nice and matching. Denim-y, and while I was concerned I'd have to buy extra boxes to cover my dyeing jobs, I really didn't need more than the recommended amount. Absolutely amazing deal that I would buy again or recommend to friends and family!
