I need CMC surgery but want to delay it as long as possible. I've only used it at night to sleep and I know it helps because my pain isn't as severe during the day. My big disappointment is that I wish it was stiffer along my thumb, or maybe the brace was shifted a bit to the right. I use it on my left hand. I've been using it for over 2 weeks. It's easy to put on and take off as it has 2 wider coils and one stays in place so I just loosen the other to get my arm out. I like that there is no seam in the crook of the thumb. Most days I wear the longer Berg brace my doctor gave me. I had to remove 2 aluminum supports because they were causing too much pain. I have just ordered another brace from Revain to wear during the day hoping it will provide more support than these. If you don't need really hard support, this might work for you.
