Review on Saucony Men's Guide ISO 2 Road Running Shoe: Performance and Support in One by Mark Hayes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent quality shoe, a little tight on the sides

I bought this shoe to replace my Saucony Guide 9 which had over mileage. I have moderate overpronation and need a shoe with good stability and control. Saucony guides give me what I need without weighing my shoes down. What I really like about the Guide ISO is that it didn't take long to import. I took it for a run right out of the box and it adjusted to my feet pretty quickly. I literally felt the upper adjust and wrap around my foot as I ran. The Everun cushion provided solid support and it didn't feel too heavy on my heels. The only thing I can say about this shoe is its width. My foot is somewhere between medium and wide and I usually buy half a size larger to fit it. Even at a larger size, the ISO width feels a bit narrow. My last pair of Guide 9s were a bit wider for the same size. This allowed my foot to expand as I walked. After a quick 3km Guide ISO test run, the shoe didn't feel too tight, but was noticeably narrower than my last pair. I'll see if it gets better after I've ridden more miles and then I'll give an updated review.
