Really cheap materials

I was very surprised how bad the quality of these shoes is, really cheap materials. They look like they were put together with stickers and a laser printer. Unlike my previous Saucony splints they aren't even sewn on the outside, they are all clearly plastic and adhesive. Was a longtime Brooks runner, then switched to Saucony because I liked the combination of lightness and support. Now I'll try something else.

Pros
  • 100% synthetic
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Poor quality, best run

I've been a fan of the Saucony Guide (5-9 series) for many years. My last purchase was the ISO series shoes, they are not the same quality as the previous Guide shoes. The design is much cheaper, although still comfortable. I also bought the Mizuno Wave Inspire 13 around the same time I bought the IOS. The Mizuno has a slightly stiffer sole, but it's an extremely comfortable and well-made shoe, plus the slightly wider toe box is an advantage.

Pros
  • Dynamic ISOFIT upper
Cons
  • Negative present

Good shoe but heals too early

I have worn Saucony running shoes for many years - it's my favorite brand. They fit my foot, have great cushioning and are very comfortable. But for the past year or two I've had issues with the healing material bursting much sooner than expected - within 4/5/6 months. Only run 3 miles 3 times a week, which isn't much, so I think the treatment material should last at least a year. I only bought this pair a month ago so I will update my review over time. Update: same thing happened to this…

Do not overtighten ISO

ISO Saucony feels too tight at first. After more experimentation and more than 90 miles I figured it out. Unlike most shoe updates, ISO is about more than looks. It actually wraps around the midfoot as advertised. However, it seems too narrow or cramped in this area. The main thing is not to overtighten the laces. Let the ISO lacing system breathe. This solved my size problem and made it a perfect upgrade from Guide 9, 10 etc. I don't know why Saucony doesn't say anything about it in his…

Excellent quality shoe, a little tight on the sides

I bought this shoe to replace my Saucony Guide 9 which had over mileage. I have moderate overpronation and need a shoe with good stability and control. Saucony guides give me what I need without weighing my shoes down. What I really like about the Guide ISO is that it didn't take long to import. I took it for a run right out of the box and it adjusted to my feet pretty quickly. I literally felt the upper adjust and wrap around my foot as I ran. The Everun cushion provided solid support and it…
