Brighten up your life: lights and reflectors

See and be seen! As a long-distance cyclist, my biggest fear is not being seen by waiting cars at T-junctions, 4-lane stops and so on. Nobody, I repeat, nobody will look at you twice and say that their vehicle is much better than your bike. That's where the light shines (pun intended). Using a reflective mirror, German engineers have created a very bright light that puts the competition to shame. With the SON generator on the front wheel, I no longer had to worry about lugging around batteries that would run out when needed. This light is small but delivers where it's needed. It actually lit up the entire dual carriageway with no curbs at night. I know I've done this in the backyards of Alabama (but I don't recommend it!). In the afternoon I encountered several deer roaming wildly at the side of the road. At about 50 meters I stopped and saw "a deer in the headlights". Why? Because it was so bright and continued to burn for several minutes after I stopped, I had to yell to get them to scatter. It gets people looking at me two ways and I want them to LOOK AT ME! The light can even be seen from the side, so no more pathetic excuses for drivers. If desired, it can be turned off by pressing the button. I was so impressed with this light that I bought another one for my new bike. No regret!
