Review on Nikon 35mm f/2D AF Nikkor Lens by Nguyn Quang Huy ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

On a full frame for amateur shooting - very good! Let's remember its price, and rejoice at the wonderful shots. This is the angle chosen by the creators of the Fujifilm X100 for their lens. If you don’t want to take anything heavy on an excursion, among all the fixes, this one, it seems to me, is the most convenient. I use it with D600. The beauty. If you understand how to use it, it will please you. I highly recommend FF. For DX there are 35 1.8G - cool glass. But on it the picture, as they say, is plasticine. Look on the Internet for examples of pictures, and you will understand everything. The G series is equipped with a sharp, but "refined" picture. For a romantic portrait, this is probably the way it should be. But on the D series, portraits "scream" from the print, so to speak, and at a width of 35 mm such portraits will be beautiful. In short, amateurs, you need to take it for FF!

Pros
  • The picture of the D-series lenses (prickly in moderation, with nuts so cute in the background; yes, I regard this as a virtue), from f2.5 it’s already decent, f5.6 is excellent. Compact, lightweight. In full frame, a very convenient FR for leisurely walking down the street. A sort of station wagon for urban photography. The minimum focusing distance is 0.25m. Portraits can also be taken, not classic, but very beautiful, wide portraits are a separate issue. Minimum distortion. The quality of construction and assembly, the inscription Made in Japan.
Cons
  • Poorly holds backlight. They say that it catches hares from the side light. Not for screwdriverless cameras.
