Review on πŸ“‘ TWAYRDIO High Gain Yagi Antenna 144/430MHz, 100W, Dual Band 2M/70cm with UHF Female Connector for VHF UHF Mobile Radio, Two-Way Radio, FM Transceiver – Aluminum Alloy Yagi Antennas by Jayshawn Cuatlayol

Suitable for the lower 2m HAM band

Easy to assemble - instructions have a number or letter for each connection and all parts are clearly labeled. Requires #2 Phillips screwdriver for larger screws and #1 for smaller screws. The construction is solid and well designed in that regard. My antenna is preset at 143MHz (a bit low for 2m) and 435MHz. Regardless of where I positioned the gamma match, the best I could get was 144.3MHz with a 2:1 SWR, and it was higher on the rest of the US 2m ham band. I wish it would work right away in the middle of the 2m ham band (146MHz).

Pros
  • The antenna works best when the element is perpendicular/parallel to the ground. This yagi antenna works for radios like Motorola, Kenwood, Yaesu, Icom and so on.
Cons
  • Blank
