At this price point, I was keen to set up the mic and test its capabilities. My conclusion is that this is a very affordable microphone. It is what it is, not what it isn't. That's what I mean. If you're looking for a podcasting microphone that will make your voice smooth and velvety, then this probably isn't for you. If you are looking for a microphone to enhance your video chats at work and school, this microphone is very good. PROS - Decent sound reproduction, some light at low frequencies. - The lightweight microphone makes it easy to take with you. Laptop - solid but not too heavy base that can be tilted - plug and play makes it easy to get started (no manual or drivers needed!) CONS - not a high-end mic; the price is right - sound reproduction has more treble than bass - mostly plastic construction, except for the base.
