I have an earlier version and there are a few mistakes made in the redesign. First, there is a charging cable that pulls out instead of plugging the micro USB directly into the control box. It seems like an improvement, but then it has to be hidden, and sometimes it comes out. No, it doesn't matter, but the real problem is that the control box is gone. It's completely free to move around, leading to all sorts of placement and control issues when the buttons aren't where they should be. The old design put the backpack in the pocket so it stayed in place and the buttons were always where you wanted/expected. Small sound improvement. In the original version, the delay between spoken words and their transmission when watching a video is about half a second. Yes, it's a sleep mask, but I often watch YouTube videos and then pull it off when I want to sleep. In the new version, the lag is less, although it's still there. In general, I like the old version much better. Unfortunately my puppy chewed them.
