Have been using it in my gecko terrarium for many years. What I like: Easy to use - just cut to size (I buy the largest size I can find and cut several at a time to fit my smaller pool) Washable - I can wash the same piece two or three times use what makes it more economical. Multiple colors available. Don't worry about choking on sand or gravel. Don't worry about something getting stuck in his paw pads.

I have a jumping gecko with a very large living space (at least for a leopard gecko). It is 36 x 16 x 12 inches. I have covered most of the floor in my terrarium with linoleum, but the part where a heating mat is gets quite hot, so I use a piece of this material under the skin. If you haven't seen or used the Zoo Med Eco Carpet, it looks like an 1/8 inch piece of felt, but is made from soft plastic fibers made from recycled plastic containers. It is very well woven. and quite boring for a plastic product. It can be washed and reused when cleaning your terrarium. I use it against glass under a layer of aspen bedding.
