I was in need of a wall mount that would hold my 50lb. ebike thru the winter months and not take up a lot of space, but surely be sturdy enough so it wouldn't come off the wall! After reading previous reviews, I definitely secured a "mounting board" between studs of my drywalled garage in order to secure this mount to support the weight; I would highly recommend anyone to do the same. With that accomplished, I then screwed the mount(using longer wooden screws than those sent) thru the board into the stud for added strength; it worked beautifully. Its steel composition is not flimsy(thin) and more than gives me peace of mind. It does state a max of 55lbs so please keep this in mind; I took off front wheel to reduce the load and insure its continued success!
