My baby just started walking, so I wanted to get her a pair of shoes that would protect her feet, but not hinder her ability to walk. These fit the bill. They are a bit less flexible than I'd like, but she was able to walk in them no problem immediately. In addition they are holding up well and appear to be comfortable (indeed, she often wants to wear them for no reason). They are also very easy to get on and off. The only real drawback is that she learned to take them off very quickly.
