Review on ๐Ÿ’บ Cashel Australian Tush Cushion: Ultimate Comfort and Support for Your Bottom by Ricky Mayo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The cushion is great, but a painful design flaw with the strap adjuster location.

The pad itself is good, it helps on long cross country rides, canter and trot. However, the issue I have with this design is the placement of the strap adjusters. The plastic strap adjusters (where you attach the straps to adjust them to the saddle) are stiff, elevated, and sit right on your inner thighs. Even if your horse is just walking, the constant rubbing from them will cause pain in that area pretty quickly. And if you trot/gallop or gallop/gallop, then brace yourself for bruises. It's not just my opinion, I've had several people try it (I ride with friends every day) and everyone has commented. I ended up reattaching the cushion to my seat using only the rear D-rings and wrapping the strap a couple of times and it still gives me a cushion in the seating area but unfortunately doesn't help. for those who have problems with pinched stapes skin (I haven't so I'm lucky) Hope this review helps!
