Much better and easier than I expected.

I call myself a meatball carpenter. When I retired I bought old captain's houses or old farmhouses to rebuild and repurpose. During this time I also built a new house for myself and used my own labor to complete the project after the main frame and railings were completed. In the beginning I was armed only with my seventh grade workshop skills. By watching professionals and reading extensively in the library and on the internet, I gradually learned how to install the electrical wiring and wiring needed to keep my home running. I have now started another project as this old farmhouse and my wife are really in need of a new kitchen and assembling the cabinets is entirely up to me. I'm by no means a "finished" carpenter, and I don't have a really good workshop to assemble my carpentry tools in, using the garage when I can and the back yard when the bad Maine weather permits . For the cabinets and face frames for this project I chose pocket hole joinery and plywood. The cabinets were designed by my wife, who knows exactly what she wants in this purely functional kitchen. I have found these right angle Kreg clamps to be ideal for aligning and clamping various plywood and pine face frames for assembly. I ended up buying two, although the price confused me a bit, especially since I have quite a few rod clamps. I had to free myself from my fear. These clips make it easy to align the pieces and then screwing the screws into the pockets I made makes assembling the cabinet components a quick and surprisingly accurate process. I know I can complete this project quickly and easily and I think it will surprise me. me how well it fits. Also, I think my wife will be happy. I would highly recommend these carpenter clips and recommend, especially for those who have never done this before, to get one and give it a try!
