Review on HG712 HitchGrip Ball Mount Carrier - Red (Standard) with Orange Accent by Darryl Duncan

This is a useless gadget that I unfortunately fell for. The worst part was missing the return window. The weight doesn't spread any easier than if I just lifted it. I asked my wife to lift it as she would benefit the most from the weight shift and she said it was no better. The worst part, and the reason I will NEVER use this thing, is that it doesn't feel secure AT ALL when you're carrying your hundred pound hitch. If you attach it and hold it straight and lift it will hold up well indeed, but if you manipulate the hitch direction at all, which is inevitable when trying to place it in the receiver, it can slip off very easily. This actually happened when I tried to put it on. The clutch dropped and luckily I was able to get my foot out of the way otherwise our outing we had planned for this week wouldn't have been much fun. I stick to my work gloves so I don't smear the grease. Definitely a stupid decision to buy this item from me.
