Review on Stylish and Durable: Victorinox Altmont Active Backpack Burgundy - Perfect for Active Lifestyles by Amber Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Different design, combination of sports bag, backpack and duffel bag. Lots of great features and add-ons.

The combination of backpack and duffel bag is like stuffing a bunch of stuff in it. My 15.5 inch HP touchscreen laptop fits perfectly. Large tablets are no problem. The laptop fits into the pocket in the main compartment and lies directly on the back. tight, you will press on the computer. There's enough padding for the computer, and the foldable design ensures it stays dry. I'm a fan of "Thing" open-top bags - they open WIDE and let you squeeze a lot of stuff inside. This one goes even further - there are side snaps and zippers that allow the top to be zipped open to be opened and divided into sections - for a very wide opening. In addition to the main compartment there are three compartments on the back. Two are long and narrow, ideal for quick access. I usually use these for my ipod, glasses, bandana, track mix etc. Then there is a larger compartment with more clearance, two pockets and a zip to access the main compartment. depth about 2 inches, good for a book, ext. etc. Outside you can see different types of equipment, adaptations for the net holding system (included in the kit) - mainly a braid of small elastic cables. Ideal for filling a towel, flat pouch, etc. at the back. There are no side pockets for water bottles and the like, so you'll need to have either the gear loop or shoulder strap handy. Not very comfortable. All stitching is strong and finished, the side zippers are medium and the back zipper is heavy. The diamond padding on the backpack is good - you don't sweat so much, it provides ventilation and also offers extra padding without a lot of hard padding. Other features include a bottle opener, ample padding on the shoulders and handles, thick material, and zippers. Loops for excess straps, height-adjustable sternum strap, internal key clip, stitching at stress points and of course the Swiss logo everywhere. It easily fits a large laptop/tablet, weekend wear, snacks, personal items, phone, iPod and more. Great weekend bag.
