There is an upper and a lower latch. 5 feet tall as an adult, I can't just get to the bottom latch without pulling through the gate, making it pretty much useless. The latches also require a sliding action, making them difficult to unlock in the dark.4. Roaring loops are both, which can be a plus, but it adds instability if you want to use this as a barrier without adding wall supports to keep it in line.
