Comfortable grip and protects surfaces like glass coffee tables from accidental drops. Makes finding the remote control easier. It technically glows in the dark, but doesn't seem to last long even after hours of charging. This is disappointing for a longtime glow-in-the-dark fan, but I still love it so much I now have several for everyone's remotes. (I try to keep two remotes on hand for each set because one of my issues is short term memory, which is poor at times, and I don't like wasting time or getting frustrated. With two, I never seem to lose one, lol.)
