I would give this umbrella 5 stars but it weighs too much. I can handle 13.5 inches in length, but it weighs just under a pound. The umbrella opens and closes beautifully and I love how durable it is, but that's where the extra weight comes into play. I could trade the weight for a less durable umbrella but I believe this umbrella will stand up to any windy or rainy conditions. Instead, I'm happy to leave this umbrella behind, knowing that when folded into its case it's strong enough to use as a bludgeon to ward off any weirdness I might encounter in my travels.
