got it to work on water bottle holders

At first I thought from the picture that the clip portion could expand to accommodate the width of the bottle or cup you put in. It is not. If the bottle or mug is too big for him, there is no way to do it. Second, I found the part of the clamp that attaches to the bike grips surprisingly difficult. It comes with a small rubber square which I assume stays in place on the handlebars but that doesn't help much. If I had a full heavy bottle in the holder when driving over bumps, it often changed its position and threatened to squirt out. I tried tightening the clamp and moving the little piece of rubber but that didn't help. Tightening the clamp itself is tricky because if you turn it when it's pointing straight north and south it gets very tight for want of better conditions, but if you can turn it another quarter turn so it's pointing east-west , she is free again. The idea is that you then fold and tighten the clamp you're rotating, but there's no guarantee you'll be able to get it in the right position to be able to rotate. Descent. I ended up wrapping my handlebars in tape to make them sturdier and tried adjusting the thickness of the handlebars to a circumference that works better with a clamp, but it was too much work trying again and again so I did I just ended up getting it as tight as I could without being able to fold down the clamp. Now it takes a pretty strong drink and a pretty big hit to get the holder to move a lot, but it's still not perfect. I've been using it since I bought it, but I won't buy it again or recommend it to friends.
