. This igniter appears to fit several GE ovens so it came with additional hardware not needed for my particular repair. After watching a few YouTube videos on replacing this part, I felt confident enough to undertake this repair. Although it cost a little more than an unbranded part and could well have been made in the same overseas factory, I went with the GE branded version. On the whole, it doesn't cost much more than a regular replacement part. And it probably went through some extra quality checks. Regarding the universal detonators sold here, there have been several reports of premature failures in their product reviews. I prefer to complete the renovation first time and move on, so the extra few dollars for peace of mind is well worth it. It's been in use for about three months and so far I haven't had any problems with my oven.
