Review on High Power Tri-Power Portable Baofeng UV-5R Two Way Radio for Ham Radio Enthusiasts by Amit Kumar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

Purchase a two-meter band antenna (na-771); I recommend using it in a forest. For the LPD433 band, the quality of the antenna is not as critical (there are standard ones, there are more). Either an Enelup battery pack or an external tankette with a socket for an external radio antenna and a Kenwood connector can be used during the winter (two pins). I went with option two. You can choose whether to place your order here or straight from the Chinese. Yet in my opinion, there isn't a better option for a fair price when it comes to hiking, fishing, or hunting. This version of Kenwood is now being used by an increasing number of people without causing any disturbance in the forest.

Pros
  • As was already stated: a vast array of accessories. Price. Even a radio amateur like myself will be able to understand a simple, straightforward menu. There aren't many features that the typical user doesn't require. You don't need to bring instructions into the forest. computer-generated programming. two-band manual frequency entering that is quick. Make a reservation right away, obviously not for the entire frequency range.
Cons
  • In theory, you may forgive the maker for the small problems. Excellent writers have previously discussed them here. Not again, please. 80% of the time the indicator shows a full battery, then switches off practically instantly. Also, take note. The keyboard's "zero" can be long-pressed to display the battery voltage. A helpful feature, but the instructions make no mention of it. He dislikes harsh frosts because the battery is lithium. Although not explicitly stated, it seems to repel rain. while retaining. On the well-known Chinese trading platform with the letter "A," rubber covers for it are offered for sale for 50.
