My first impression was that it is so soft and heavy which I think could help my child feel safe. Appears to be well made, good quality. However, upon inspecting the inside of the sleeping bag, it turned out that the item was a huge waste of money. The zipper body and zipper teeth are visible inside the sleeping bag! It's rough, scratchy and uncomfortable! I felt really bad putting my baby on it for that night! I'm sure the easy fix to the roughness problem would be to have the baby in a romper instead of a romper, but it's mid-summer and he's a warmer. A full sleeper won't solve the second problem I have and that is the bulkiness of the zipper. I thought it was the quality of the fabric that added weight to this piece, but it's the zipper. The comfort of a two-way zip is good, but if my child has to lie on his stomach, as he does 25% of the time, I should try to position the head of the zip so that it doesn't put pressure on him that's uncomfortable. All in all, I'll try it out tonight, but I'll probably return it tomorrow. Almost $50. Wow. The manufacturer should seriously consider lining the zipper body with a thin material so that it does not touch the child's skin and the end of the zipper is on the shoulder and away from the chest/collarbone.
