I bought four types of airplane pillows for my recent trip to Europe. There were three of us on the trip and we all used four different types of pillows. It was the winner. I've never been able to sleep on an airplane. I was gone for five hours with this pillow! My second choice is an inflatable pillow that is placed on your lap and you lean forward. It was pretty good, but after a while my neck started to hurt when I leaned forward at that angle (although I have to take that with a pinch of salt, I have a very sensitive neck. My husband liked it though). I also tried a sling that is worn over the shoulder. Good too but he moved too much and for me he should have taken third place. The fourth is a wrap around the neck with a handy Velcro closure. That was good too, but I was moving too much and my neck was too sideways and it hurt my neck. Although this one? You put it on and your head doesn't move at all. Slightly leaning back in your seat, you can imagine that you are lying in bed and about to fall asleep. Now this will ruffle your hair and look a little weird, but who cares! Oh so glad I found this.
