Maybe I'm expecting too much, but this flexible tripod is a little weak in my opinion. I thought I would use my phone as a "DVR" on my bike. I have other thoughts. I appreciate the curved legs could wrap around a handlebar or other mounting point, but the mounting bolt is pretty loose and you really have to turn the locking ring and gimbal knob to feel secure. The "Universal Phone Mount" has a strong spring, but I have my doubts about using it with a case or any mods; I had to fiddle with it to comfortably hold my Moto Z3 with stock battery. It's fairly light, so when it's on my desk with my legs straight, I have to hold the phone with my free hand while I work on the screen. Check that the tripod does not tip over. The description says it comes with a DSLR but I'm a bit skeptical about mounting an EOS 500D. The remote connects to the phone fairly easily, and the remote works with the AB Shutter software on the phone, so no complaints. However, what confuses me is that the iOS button is twice the size of the Android control. The instructions are tiny and printed in small gray type on the back of the rental agreement. Have a magnifying glass ready.
