Received as a Christmas present. Hasn't worked for less than 10 days. The handle next to the switch gets very hot. Now the power button doesn't work. When you're ready to stand there and hold it, the pot will get hot and the water will boil. Who wants to hold the switch for longer than 2 minutes? It has blue LEDs at the base and looks very cosmic, which I liked. But not for too long. The last kettle I bought lasted over 40 years. If there was a minus star I would give it, this kettle doesn't even deserve 1 star. After speaking to a customer service rep, they immediately send a new kettle to replace the broken one.
