My son has a 2004 Honda Pilot and every time the car shifted from first to second it felt and sounded like the engine would quit the car. It was an easy fix so my son and I took care of it ourselves and it was actually quite easy. We supported the weight of the engine with a jack before removing three or four bolts on the bracket and then putting the new block in place. It took about 15 minutes, that's all! Watch a YouTube video or two and you can do almost anything. It got rid of the loud clunk when shifting, but the car still shifts pretty hard, so I ordered a pair of shift solenoids for the gearbox. This unit was sturdy and looked well made, but time will tell if it will hold up to a close relationship with OEM Honda parts.
