This is a strong and well made harness. Unfortunately I believe this is IMPOSSIBLE to customize it. I couldn't adjust the neck area in any way. It took me about 15 minutes to undo the straps on my waist. Not being able to adjust the neck I had to force my cat (pictured) to do this, but I could tell it was uncomfortable because the neck area had to be looser to fit the waist. In fact, I put it on him wrong the first time. I then changed the position so that the D-ring is facing forward, but the fit was the same (see photo). If customization was easy I would give 5 stars. It has a strong D-ring at the center of the chest and a clasp on either side at the waist. It is simply worn around the neck and fastened at the waist. The handle should be on top and the D-ring should be in the chest area. The leash can be attached to either the front D-ring or the smaller one on the back. Due to difficulties with this harness, I cannot use it. The small size is also smaller than I expected. The current price of $19.99 is reasonable for it as long as it can be easily corrected.
