Review on Premium 2-Shelf and 4-Drawer Bookcase by Taylor + Logan - Rustic Wood Grain Finish for Optimal Storage by Wendy Rodriguez

Here is a mixed bag, not suitable for medium and large books unless the assembly is troublesome.

While it looks nice assembled, I would combine the drawers and bookcase to make just a top shelf. It doesn't fit in most of my medium and none of my large books unless I fold them sideways. Perhaps because it's engineered wood, they didn't approve of the weight of heavy book storage. The drawers were good, they had rails so they ran pretty smoothly. Many pieces need turning and some should be added to the wood glue dowels to give them more strength. He cautions against using power tools as the torque can damage the wood of the press. You have to be careful when dressing. For this reason I don't like pressed wood, so glue can also be used with screws. Many wooden parts will loosen from screw or nail connections over time and if you keep tightening you can break the connections. I have an old stereo TV cabinet that had a better solution. While the main constructions were of pressed cardboard, they used three bolt-on rods running the length of the device with large ends that held up a large surface area, and with an Allen wrench they could be tightened to the inner runs of the screws. This has allowed it to retain its integrity and I have owned it since 1981 so I believe it is in good condition. The strength of this is the metal support frame it sits on. You'll also love the storage space in the drawers. I wouldn't store heavy things. I'd recommend helping out if you're not comfortable putting this together and getting some wood glue as well. A mild recommendation, but only for DIYers who need light storage.
