While it looks nice assembled, I would combine the drawers and bookcase to make just a top shelf. It doesn't fit in most of my medium and none of my large books unless I fold them sideways. Perhaps because it's engineered wood, they didn't approve of the weight of heavy book storage. The drawers were good, they had rails so they ran pretty smoothly. I dreamed of a white Christmas, but that wasn't what I had in mind. I ended up assembling this Taylor + Logan bookcase/shelf in about 2 hours, not thanks to the terrible instructions.
