Why are they so tight on her Firbit Versa 2?

My wife had trouble getting her case off to charge her Fitbit Versa 2 so now she has none on it for fear of not being able to get it off next time it needs charged or to change the case to a different one.
Why are they so hard to remove?

Pros

I ordered these for the rose gold. It cracked after one day. But they look good, so I’m ordering more.

Cons

The case may interfere with the Fitbit's GPS functionality, making it less reliable for tracking outdoor activities
