Review on Cucumber Witch Hazel Toner With Aloe Vera - 12 Oz Alcohol-Free Formula By THAYERS by Coby Hall

Love this toner! Read below for my full routine.

Fantastic toner! I have sensitive oily acne prone skin. I purchased the Cucumber version and I love it! I have no acne and I believe that's partly due to the use of this toner, partly due to avoiding hair products, and partly due to my other facial products (see list below). I only use the toner in the morning right after I wake up.Wake up: Thayer's Cucumber TonerMorning face routine:1) Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Creme (use with a washcloth to get a "cleaner feel")2) Paula's Choice Resist Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum3) Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Invisible Finish Moisture Gel4) Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief Moisturizer Normal to Oily (I only apply this to my neck but it's also okay for the face)5) Exuviance Sheer Daily Protector SPF 50 (this has a slight tint to it so I don't use foundation and I just follow this with Paula's Choice powder)6) Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with Sunscreen SPF 50 (I only use this on my neck). This product is sold on Ebay as well as in drugstores and big box stores.Evening Routine:1) Wipe face with a tissue to remove excess oil and powder2) Paula's Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover (I only use this to remove eye makeup but it can be used on the whole face-I've just never tried it)3) Exuviance Gentle Cleasing Creme with Clarisonic Mia4) Retin-A Micro Pump .04%5) Exuviance Night Renewal Hydragel (I only use this on my face, for some reason this product gives me a rash on my neck but it works very well on my face.I have ultra sensitive crazy skin!)6) Paula's Choice Redness Relief Moisturizer Normal to Oily (again, I only use this on my neck but I used to use it on my face at night)When going to the pool or beach I use Elta MD UV Sport SPF 50 on my face. It doesn't sting my eyes like a lot of sunscreens do and it doesn't cause my acne to flare up.I'm 37 years old and my skin was under control with Proactiv from age 22 until I had my son at 32. The above routine works wonders for me but we all have different skin. From my experience, hair styling products make my face breakout so I avoid them.I believe Retin A has helped me a lot. If you have acne I would at least try it although it does take months to see results AND you have to be religious about Sunscreen. If you try Retin A I highly recommend reading the "How to Use Retin-A" article on the Beautyeditor site. The key to beginning Retin-A is to apply 1 pump once every 3rd night for 2 weeks, then every other night for 2 weeks, then every night. If your face gets red or upset, return to every other night. One thing I really like about Paula's Choice is that you can order samples from them. Then if you have a reaction to a product at least you only spent $1 or $2 to find out. You can also try contacting Exuviance for samples.

Pros
  • I like that it gets the dirt out of your skin. I use for my face.
Cons
  • The toner might not work for oily skin
