I bought this item because it was supposed to be a replacement bulb for the Ford Explorer 3157. At first I thought it was my truck. But I went and bought original 3157 bulbs and they worked fine. I reported the issue to Marine Light and received a call back, but was unavailable. So they contacted me via SMS what was the problem. Customer service was slow. You asked a question and it took them several hours to answer your answer. All this took 2 to 3 days SMS. First they sent me a list of bulb numbers to make sure I bought the right one. And I bought the right thing. And their final answer is that I need to buy a resistor to make the light work properly. This is not stated in the description. Also, they suggested that I use them as backup lights, not brake/signal lights. The problem is I didn't buy them for the reverse lights because my lights are already working. The headlights are very bright and easy to assemble. The price is reasonable given the brightness. However, before installing, please ask if your car needs a resistor. Update: Support was kind enough to give me back 1/2 of these if I keep the headlights. I ended up buying a new set of brake light bulbs and used them for the reverse lights (although they didn't need to be replaced). It's good that customer service understood my concerns and the need to inform potential customers that they may need to purchase a resistor to prevent excessive flashing.
