Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works like a charm as long as you can follow the instructions.

I have a suspicion that the bad reviews on this product are from people using it incorrectly. I had a blown head gasket on a 1995 1.5 liter Honda Civic (confirmed by the shop when they replaced the timing belt, water pump and thermostat). The only reason I picked up a bottle of this sealant was because the mechanic recommended it after I told him I couldn't afford the $500 repair bill for a head gasket replacement. The mechanic told me that he had used this material before and that it was pretty much the only head gasket sealant on the market he had ever seen and told me he would never recommend any other, but this material worked . So I ordered a bottle and tried it. The first thing that struck me is that the instructions clearly state that you must read the entire label before you begin and that you need to know exactly how much fluid is in your radiator and engine block, and by volume need to use a certain amount. It is also clearly stated that if your water pump or thermostat is not working properly, it is also not working properly and can cause uneven product distribution. The label clearly advises using the correct amount and adding it very slowly to the properly diluted radiator fluid, only adding the product when the fluid level is high enough not to touch the fins on the inside of the radiator. After doing just that, running the engine and topping up coolant and then letting it idle for over 15 minutes with the heater on, I could already tell that the engine was running as smooth as before the explosion. Pads After a few days of driving, it no longer overheats, smokes white smoke from coolant entering the engine through the gasket, no longer leaks oil into the coolant, and no longer runs rough. The stuff is very clumpy and can be annoying, but when the right amount (1/3 bottle for me) is added to a properly mixed 50/50 liquid, it runs through and smoothes out. I plan on leaving it in the engine until I'm ready to flush the radiator and remove product residue, but the bottle clearly says you can leave it unflushed and it won't cause a clog or sludge. It's been working great so far and seems to have completely sealed the seal but even when it starts leaking a little it says you can add more which I plan on doing when that happens, although that's after 4 days of daily for now Commuting is working. for 36 km it has no problems and works great. I would recommend it to anyone who can follow the instructions correctly, but I believe that if you add it to the wrong type of coolant or mix, or if you add much more than intended, it will cause serious clogging problems in your system. A new water pump will probably help too as I suspect that if your water pump is not working properly it will clog the system and prevent the sealant from reaching the leaks and possibly clogging the radiator or heater. Wash. Use it as directed and you should be fine.
