Have been using this bread slicer every week for 9 months

While I wasn't initially impressed with this bread slicer I have to say I rely on it. I had to study its characteristics, i.e. the variable width of the guides, the way the teeth of the guides are bent, the chipped teeth of the guides, etc. I only use the part of the guide that allows you to make tight cuts - it would be nice if everyone could have used the instructions, but it works. When I replaced my bread knife with a sharper one the tooth warping problem went away and I have kept this slicer clean and oiled - it still looks new and the teeth are no longer chipped.
