This mini heater was good for a while. He properly heated the water and evened out the temperature. Nice design so it doesn't obscure the theme of my aquarium. But something happened. I noticed my beta started losing fins after 4 months. I couldn't understand why. I checked the water for several days to make sure everything was fine. Then one day I put my finger on it and noticed it. I got a slight electric shock. It was the heater after turning off the filter that I had. I took it off and noticed that where the absorbent material was there was some sort of white filling to seal it and prevent water from getting in, but it wasn't completely sealed. I decided to dry it out and put the silicone wherever water can get in. This worked for a few days, but in the end my fish was still being slowly electrocuted. I removed it completely. Would use a different one if it works.
