Review on Navy JanSport Firewire Core Backpack by Kattie Steffens

Stunning design flaws

I had a Jansport backpack that I carried around the world for 12 years. It ended up in need of serious repairs and I sent it over. Apparently, this model was no longer repaired, but sent me Firewire. First, the backpack is made for midgets. It's just not long enough for my back. I'm 6ft tall and don't have unusual proportions so that's a bit of a concern. Second, the odd laptop sleeve in the main compartment is an incredible design flaw. The rigid support at the bottom sits about two inches above the bottom of the pack. So when you load the backpack, what you put in it can't hit your lower back, effectively pulling the backpack into a curve, making you feel really good. straight, rather uncomfortable ones remain at the bottom of the laptop bag and at the top of the shoulder straps. This is simply not an acceptable backpack for everyday use as designed.
