Decent enough but you're saving

I've had Jansport backpacks in the past and while it's a decent bag it definitely won't live up to its past quality. The material is thinner, the zippers are not as strong. And what's the matter, Jensport? Are you out of zippers? Half of the zippers are missing (despite what you can see in the picture)! Cheap! On the other hand, there are many inner and outer pockets, my large laptop fits in easily and is well filled.

Poor quality bag, do not buy.

I bought this backpack when I wanted a new bag for my laptop. A few months ago I bought my niece a beautiful JanSport backpack and she loved it, so I chose JanSport again. There is no doubt that JanSport is a good brand in general. But this particular backpack is really badly made. The texture is made from some cheap materials and definitely doesn't look as good as the picture on the website. There aren't many compartments in a poorly padded bag, and there isn't as much room at all as…

Stunning design flaws

I had a Jansport backpack that I carried around the world for 12 years. It ended up in need of serious repairs and I sent it over. Apparently, this model was no longer repaired, but sent me Firewire. First, the backpack is made for midgets. It's just not long enough for my back. I'm 6ft tall and don't have unusual proportions so that's a bit of a concern. Second, the odd laptop sleeve in the main compartment is an incredible design flaw. The rigid support at the bottom sits about two inches…

Good packaging for the right person

Okay, first there's a design flaw. Annoyingly, the bottom of the computer bag doesn't stop at the padding that hugs the back. There is an approximately 1" deep hole that allows your notepad to slip out from under the padding and poke you from behind until you want to pull your hair out. I solved this problem by stuffing the towel from the flour bag into the slot and everything is fine now. The Pros: I'm a 5ft 3in female and this is the first backpack that has fit me. The shoulder straps are…

Too small for a tall or tall adult male

Build quality is excellent, only the shoulder straps are incredibly short. I used to have Jansports and have never seen this before. The full-length backpack hugged my shoulders snugly. The straps on my other Jansport (Samba Trans) are about DOUBLE as long! How and why Jansport was able to do this I don't understand - another 8 inch straps and I would love this bag - too bad they don't post strap length details on their website, right? If you're a little man, kid or girl you might still be…

Not sure if this is a real Jansport bag

I've had it for about a year and one day my roommate called me and said she had a lot of groceries and needed help to put them back in to bring our apartment. I grabbed my Jansport bag (at least I thought it was one) and walked to meet it a few feet from my house. I've seen some plastic bags burst due to some groceries so it only made sense that I was carrying a JanSport bag. I packed so many of their groceries in this bag and when I was a few feet from my apartment, the top right side of the…
