I have two of these gates to keep dogs out of the kitchen and bedroom. I used to come home every day and watch them turn the trash and pick up my baskets. No longer! They are high enough that my medium sized dogs can't jump over them. (My dogs are about 40 and 50 pounds). The gates were easy to set up and went up quickly. I didn't install them myself, but I saw my brother-in-law install them. He finished each one in about 10 minutes. The only thing I would like to say about the design is that I would like the extension for the wide doors to come in two sizes - one long and one short. My door was wide enough to look like it needed an extension, but 1/4" narrow enough that it didn't fit. I liked that these gates were a cool color and not the typical white. I love them look a lot prettier than a wooden gate and cooler than a bare white gate.The latch is easy to open, just press the buttons at the top and bottom.Not super child proof I would think but I'm lucky my dogs still have it haven't figured it out.I love that when I twist the gate hard enough to close it it locks itself into place.Overall I'm happy with my purchase and have had a lot less dirt to clean from my kitchen floor and none of my stuff is last time torn!
